I've fallen hard 3 times with my Galaxy 7 Ultra without it working. Watch set up properly, tech support my phone no help. Diagnostics test says sensors normal..wrote to Samsung with no response. What to do next?

Through the years I've experienced the same with Watch 4/5/6/7. Either they triggered when I did not trip or fall, or they failed to detect an actual hard fall.
Waiting to see if perhaps the Watch 8 will perform more accurately.

I understand the importance of this feature working properly, however, if you fell and were still conscious, you had the means to make the emergency calls yourself or activate the emergency SOS.  This feature is most important should you fall and lose consciousness where the calls would be made automatically.  If they are going to offer this feature it should work properly in all instances.

When you say "set properly", do you mean you have to set to detect falls always or just during exercise? I believe the default is to detect falls during exercise, I had to change it.

Put in an error report: https://us.community.samsung.com/t5/Tips-Tricks/How-to-Send-Feedback/ba-p/3001692 - this is best done right after an undetected fall, as the log will contain the pertinent information.

Set on always. Emergency no.s set, delay on 10 seconds and whatever else Samsung recommended. In regards to consciousness, I've fallen 5 times in the past 4 years and hit my head hard on 4 of them. At 79 years old and having had very bad knees a dial out is very important to me.

I understand.  Please put in an error report and include the logs.  As I said, the best time to do this would be after a fall (I know you can't plan on falling), since all the data pertaining to the incident will be contained in the log.  The logs are continually being overwritten by new data, so things related to specific incidents may be overwritten if you wait too long.  For instance, if your last fall was two days ago, likely the data will not be available.  You can still put the report in, they will let you know if they have the data they need.  The watch logs are contained in the phone logs, so don't look for separate logs for the watch.
