Galaxy Watch

I bought a Galaxy Watch 5 for my 95 yo mother to use as a safety device in case of fall. We set it up to call me if she fell. We live in the same house. I went out for a couple of hours, she charged the watch and was trying to put it back on when she dropped it on the floor. Nothing! No alarm, no call, nothing. What am I doing wrong?

She dropped the watch, not herself.  The fall detect is not supposed to trigger if the watch is dropped.  It should only trigger if it is on the wrist and the accelerometer detects the fall.  Also, just a tip, go to the settings and make sure it's set to detect all falls.  The default appears to be set to only during workouts.
