Galaxy WatchI've started walking with my S23+ and Samsung Health. I'm in the USA so every setting in my phone and all apps are set to miles.
When I started using the app the "audio guide" would announce through my (non-Samsung) ear buds each mile that I walked.
Yesterday I added a Fit 3 . The "audio guide" inexplicably changed to announcing each kilometer, and there doesn't seem to be a setting to change it.

Galaxy WatchThank you for reaching out. I can certainly understand your concern with your distance announcing in kilometers. Give these steps a try: Go to the Samsung Health app > tap on the 3 dots in the middle of the right-hand side > tap on settings > tap on units of measurements > tap on distance > tap on mi, ft

Galaxy WatchIs there a helpful solution for this? Here's additional information from my experience. I have Samsung Health set to mi, ft with announces every half mile. My settings were just as you describe.
Start the workout from Samsung Galaxy S25 = audio guide announcing in miles and feet as expected at the correct intervals.
Start the workout from Samsung Galaxy Fit 3 = audio guide announcing at the correct intervals, but in kilomters.
Essentially, I know when I hit my half miles because the audio guide makes the announcement. But it tells me that I've walked .8 km, 1.6 km, 2.4 km, etc.
I've tested this with 4 different audio setups with the same result
- Shokz OpenFit2
- Samsung Galaxy Buds3 Pro
- Google Pixel Buds Pro 2
- Samsung Galaxy S25 speaker
It's very confusing. I'm not sure what I'm missing here.

Galaxy WatchI've submitted multiple bug reports about this and other issues and received nothing other than "we have sent this issue to our development team"
Samsung has our money. They don't care.

Galaxy WatchI can confirm in a few hours; that sounds familiar, but I don't know off-hand.
**edit**
@JPCLive - Tapping the face of the Fit 3 after starting the workout from my phone brings up the HR Zone screen, but I can swipe away to other things. Not stuck on my end.

Galaxy WatchDo you have a better solution for this? As mentioned, my samsung health has all the settings as miles, I even went into the walking and made sure the "laps" were set to miles. I walked today and when I got to 1 mile (correctly displaying on my watch) the audio voice said "1.6km"...why is this happening? I have reset, updated, powered on / off, etc. Has anyone been able to fix this?

Galaxy WatchI hope a solution is on the horizon. I even started questioning if I acidentally got a non-US version of the Fit 3.
Maybe if this is not seen as an isolated incident, more Samsung research will be done.
