Galaxy WatchIts already been posted here about the AOD being broken with the workout screen after the latest watch update. But it also appears to have affected the GPS accuracy as well. It might not be noticiable for some unless your doing long distance workouts, but my regular runs were typically around 7.1 - 7.15km with great consistancy. And when you looked at the map, the gps tracking lines were always clean and straight, which with the watch 7 is attribured to its dual gps design. But now immediately after the update which had already broken the AOD workout screen for live data, i am getting poor gps tracking lines and the last two runs coming out to over 7.3km for the exact same route. Which it had never done in the past. It feels like they have potentially adjusted the gps settings to try save some battery and sacrificed the gps accuracy as a result.
It is a MASSIVE understatement on how frustrated i am about this new update and has caused me much distress because of how i hate when things mess with my exercuse routine so destructively.

Galaxy WatchI thought I have a **bleep**ty watch. But now I guess I bought a watch from **bleep**ty company.
Today I went to official service center in London.
With dozens of evidences in Strava and Samsung health.
But was told that everything is alright with this **bleep** and I must to make a video of this problem.
So. Samsung sed this **bleep**ty accuracy is OK.
That's a top tier quality company !

Galaxy WatchAfter analysing my rides, I think I found a pattern. It seems like the auto pause feature on Samsung Health and maybe on Strava is not working as expected.
This is my activity: https://www.strava.com/activities/14942173023, recorded with Samsung Health. At the 27.5km mark, I stopped to grab some food. The watch was auto paused, but kept tracking my location. On the other parts of the route, everything is good.

Galaxy Watchi don't use autopause so i don't think thats the issue, but perhaps it exacerbates the problem further.

Galaxy Watchive sent mine in 3 times. they always say there is nothing wrong. They do a basic benchmark test and then send it back out. They don't test for specific issues and use cases. I need to take my watch to headoffice to have it returned

Galaxy WatchBeen 2 months with an unusable GPS on the watch ultra now. Does not look like the utter pricks that introduced this massive bug ever intend to fix it. Time to cut my losses and switch to Garmin.
Way to go Samsung, how to destroy a platform in one easy step!!!

Galaxy WatchCurrently i'm fighting with Samsung Complaint department.
Created a post in reddit and will use it as a reference in communications with support.
If you have desire to speedup the fix (if its a software related thing, which tbh i don't believe)
pls add some mess on the topic

Galaxy Watchstill completely broken Watch Ultra 2024, all updates done 12th July. Draws stupid lines everywhere when stood still.
They broke it with a firmware update late April was good until then. They simply cannot be bothered to fix the issue. Useless.

Galaxy WatchI have a Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 since this week. I previously had the watch 5.I notice on the new watch 7 that the GPS data is incorrect. I use my new watch 4 times a week for running, often the same lap. The watch 7 shows a pace that is too fast for some laps and the kilometers are also too short. My lap of, for example, 10 km is already 700 meters before I have actually run 10 km, according to the watch, already at 10 km. I also see on the map that there is not a neat straight line across the path. Settings are exactly the same as on the watch 5.
Are there more people who have this with the new watch 7?
I'm wondering if my watch has a hardware problem, or if the software for the new dual GPS module is not quite ready yet.
Comparison of round with watch 5 and watch 7:
