I litteraly just took the watch out of the box, turned it on with a 10% charge and it got super hot. Tried to charge it-wouldn't stay charging.. and then it popped up with an overheating logo. I could barely touch it. I've had it 10 whole minutes... It isn't the lte version, just plain Bluetooth.  I've had my Samsung S3 watch for 4 years now with no issues. Super disappointing.

I  understand how upsetting this is. Have you tried performing a reset on the watch? https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00084702/ Also check to see if the software is up to date. If the watch is still overheating and not charging, then it would be recommended to have the watch evaluated by a certified technician. You could also contact your place of purchase to see what options they may have available. If you wish to set your device up for service, please feel free to reach out to us directly via one of the following options and include a link to this thread.

I would contact Samsung, via the chat on their website, and see if you can get it replaced under the warranty.
