Galaxy Watch 3 MST?

Does the Galaxy Watch 3 have MST (magnetic strip transaction) for standard credit card strip purchases? This was an amazing feature/technology that was last seen in the Galaxy S3 Frontier. Even with latest inclusion of NFC for some pay stations, the MST gave Samsung watches an advantage for small retail shops that cannot afford to have NFC pay stations to still be able to pay with their watch. Please bring this feature back. The cost to implement this on the current watch is nomial at best but opens up an enormous feature set that your competitors cannot compare to.

This needs to be brought back and marketing needs to promote this feature so everyone will know.

Re: Re: Galaxy Watch 3 MST?

Yes, NFC is more common now but there are still many small shops and stores that do not have it. Having this small feature that is universal to all credit card kiosk give the watch a huge selling point. All the phones still have this MST, so why remove it from the watch?

So they can decrease production cost, add more vaporware features, and jack up the price.

Re: Galaxy Watch 3 MST?

They had to get rid of it in order to give us a bigger battery. The Gear S3 was the last watch that had MST; not even the Galaxy Watch supported MST. The good news is that MST is still available on current Samsung smartphones
