Galaxy Watch 4 Classic mic stopped working

I have a Galaxy Watch 4 Classic with LTE and the mic is not working it would seem. Worked fine when I got. I have reset the device a few times to no avail. There is even a thread with other having a similar issue Galaxy Watch 4 Microphone Problems : GalaxyWatch (reddit.com)

I have also had the device swapped out and have the same issue. Anyone have any further suggestions?

@Pendrake did you happen to figure out anything with this? I have the exact same thing happening with my Galaxy watch 4 paired to a s21 ultra. Seems to have happened after the last big update we got in February. I've tried wiping multiple times and it did not help.

 I have the same issue with the Microphone no longer working. Is there a fix for this is does it need to be replaced / repaired under Warranty ?

Hello, I am unable to be heard when I make a call, or do speech to text. I can hear when I answer just fine.. but noone can hear me, only movements and noise go through, no audio.

I have disconnected, resetted, even tried it on a different phone and nothing. No sound comes out. It is super frustrating.

Any one experience this?

It happened to me. After i disconnected and connected, I just had to grant microphone access to the watch. Wierd. But that fixed it.

as Avenger12PR noted, check the permission settings for the Watch.

or else it could be hardware defect.
