Galaxy WatchDecided I wanted to set up payments from my watch, so created a pattern as additional security. Promptly completely forgot it, so needed to do a factory reset, which went fine.
Now I'm trying to reconnect to my phone, and it absolutely will not have it. I've restarted both phone and watch, and each time I get as far as signing in via the original Google account used to set up the watch, and then it just says 'connection failed, please try again'.
I've tried five times now with the same result. No idea what I can do beyond this. Is another factory reset likely to help? Thanks in advance.

Galaxy WatchJust as a note, patterns are the easiest security measure to forget, and on the tiny watch face hard to get correct. Use a PIN instead. If you use a pattern lock on your phone, use the same pattern on your watch - no need for it to be different. As far as reconnecting to the phone, are you using "connect watch to new phone" option? Is the failure at the Google login on your watch? In which case, it would not be failure to connect to the phone, but failure to connect to Google. Go to your Google account on your phone or computer, go to manage devices and log your watch out from your Google account. It should log out automatically with a reset, but sometimes does not. You do not have to reset your phone. You may have to go to the wear app, and delete the watch from the app, and go through the whole connect watch to new phone setup. You can try resetting the watch again if you want, it won't hurt anything, and once the connected to the wear app, you should be prompted to restore your backup.

Galaxy WatchIt's failing at the 'unlock watch using Google account' stage. I don't get offered 'connect watch to new phone' option - the watch tells me immediately after startup that I can only connect to a phone that's using the Google account used to set it up.
I ended all three device sessions for the watch which were showing on my Google account, and reinstalled the Wear app - same result. It says I can unlock the watch using a PIN/pattern or my Google account, and then says 'couldn't unlock watch, an error has occurred' on the phone, and 'connection failed' on the watch.

Galaxy WatchI am having the exact issue - cause and all. So far nothing has worked: not resetting the watch, which really isn't possible I guess with these security features, and not uninstalling and redownloading the Wearable and Watch manager apps. Nothing Samsung suggests has worked either, and it's definitely on their end.

Galaxy WatchYep, I'm still stuck. Have uninstalled and reinstalled everything possible, and followed every bit of advice available. Guess it's bricked...
