For some reason, my Watch 7 doesn't vibrate when I receive text messages. It's really weird. My niece's Watch 4 has the same problem. I've missed a lot of notifications. After I reset it, it still doesn't work. Does anyone have the same problem?

Galaxy Watch@thomasNg What do you have the Watch's sound set to? Is it set to vibrate?

Galaxy WatchI have found that you have to allow vibration in the app settings on the phone app for it to vibrate on the watch. If you have your notifications set to silent on the phone, and don't turn the vibration on, the notifications will be silent on the watch, which includes no vibration. if you want your notifications to be silent on your phone, you can set it for alert and vibration and make your *notification sound* for that app "silent". If you have it set to put the notification icon on the watch screen, you will see you have a notification when you glance at the watch, but you won't get a vibration when it arrives, so that it may be hours later that you finally notice you had a notification.

Galaxy WatchThank you for reaching out, thomasNg. I can certainly understand your concern with your watch not vibrating when getting text messages. In order to better assist you, can you please advise if you are using Google Messages or Samsung Messages?

Galaxy WatchUpon opening my messages today, I was told that the Samsung messaging will be discontinued in July so I jumped on the Google messages since I had time to play around with the change. I have my phone and watch set to vibrate for 2 years and now my watch does not vibrate when I get a message, only shows a red dot.. I now realized why I did not switch over to Google Messaging years ago because this issue has never been fixed and when I was using Samsung messages my phone and watch vibrated almost simultaneously. I am a teacher and this is very important that the two are synced. Yes, I turned on vibration and watch and even went so far as to play with the accessibility features. Please help as I do not want Apple products!

Galaxy Watch@Mruszczyk On your phone, do you have Notifications AND sound enabled on your phone for the Google Messages app. If these are turned off the notifications will not make vibrate or make sound on your watch.
