I used to get text messages on my watch and somehow it is blocked! I have reset my watch 8 - no notifications. I have gone into the notification apps and added text messaging and other apps - still no notifications. There are other apps blocked too but I'm not concerned with them but if someone can get to the setting that has blocked app that would be appreciated.
How do I unblock app notifications on my Watch 8??? Or how can I get help from Samsung about my Watch 8 issues???

It looks like you have notifications turned off for messages.  Are you using Google Messages?  Just tap that "manage app notifications" box on the bottom, there and turn on notifications for the apps you want on the watch.  You said you turned on messages notifications, did you turn on the *right* messages app?  Both Google and Samsung are just called "messages", so you have to go by the icon.  Also, if you are using Google messages, make sure you have the companion app for the watch.

I want to thank you for responding to my watch 8 issue. Samsung actually stopped the use of their messaging app recently (you can no longer install it) and after a certain date you can't use it at all. So the only messaging app I use was fortunately the Google messaging.
I went through all the settings ... Samsung, Google, everything I could possibly look at. I did find a permission that was toggled off but for the life of me don't know where I found it. I seriously didn't think anyone out there would help me or I would have wrote it down step by step of how I fixed it.
I apologize for anyone having the same issue. I tried to retrace where I went to fix it but couldn't figure it out. Any changes I made I restarted the phone and the watch. Whatever I did it worked.
Thank you so much @AAbbott for reaching out to help me!

Just for future reference, to allow or disallow an app to send notifications to the watch, open the wear app, go to watch settings/notifications /app notifications, then toggle on (or off) the sliders for the apps for which you want/don't want notifications.

I did do that and it still wasn't delivering text messages to my watch. I fact, I had clicked in "Not getting notifications on watch" was when I found out that the text messaging was blocked (hence the screenshot in the chat chain). Like I said I fixed it but cannot recall the exact steps for which I did. I don't know why when I selected the text messaging app in allowing notifications that it did not work. I went through many settings to fix the issue because it was pertinent for me to be able to see text notifications on my Watch and I was determined to figure it out and was fortunate to have fixed it. Again thank you.

I had the same issue briefly where nothing was appearing on my Watch 8 Classic. After several reboots of both the watch and phone (S25 Ultra) everything started working properly again. Don't know what caused notifications to stop in the first place (nothing was changed) but it has been working fine since then.
