I purchased my Samsung Galaxy Watch in January 2019 and the battery life span has been fantastic until October 6, 2019 when an update was completed; the battery life span went from 4 days to less than a day even on the battery saving mode.
I went online to find a solution to the problem and I found multiple complaints with the same issue. I tried some of the recommended tips (power down and up both watch and cellphone) with no success.
It appears this is a known issue with Samsung for what I can see for over a year, if not longer; why continue sending updates that degrades the performance of a successful product it makes no sense to me.
I want to know what I can do to remedy this problem.
I also have a now useless watch that is barely 6 months old. Apparently even minor scratches to the screen negate the manufacturer's warranty and therefore this battery drainage issue is not covered unless the watch is basically new.
Hello, i have tried everything. To no avail. Even erased the watch and reloaded. It lasts only 8 hrs with nothing on the display. Very dissapointed. Where do i go from here?
If troubleshooting has not been helpful, the next step would be to set up repair services. To create a service ticket, you would need to call 1-800-726-7864.
Not sure how to join the discussion other than replying to someone, this site is unfortunately no easier to figure out than anything else Samsung.
I am also having issues with extreme battery draining. Until recently, I could charge my watch once every 2 and 1/2 days. Now I have to charge it within 24 hours. Also, for some reason my phone and watch are now having Bluetooth disconnected issues. It happens at least a handful of times a day, sometimes as much as a dozen times or so. This didn't happen previously. My watch has gone frome something I loved, and raved about, to a mere annoyance. I can't find any of the things to try to help that people are referring to, but based on what I'm seeing, it most likely won't help.
I really, really would love some help. I use my watch for health reasons, so it would be a great convenience to have my watch working again. I'm sure the rest of the Galaxy fam feels the same way.
Please do something Samsung.
Samsung, I have a problem. My watch worked very well, you updated its software and now it is pretty much useless. Regarding this, your help section says:
"repairs would be the only other option available at this time. "
You don't get to break my expensive watch and then tell me that it's my problem. You also don't get to pretend that you have no idea what happened.
Please do better.
Same here, battery on the watch drains like crazy. 2 restarts later and even 1 charging from 0 to 100% while turned off, nothing's changed. If they don't fix this, the watch is useless as it can barely last half a day with a full charge
