Samsung - take ownership of this issue. 300 dollar watches should not become useless after 2- 3 months of use.
In short - receieved watch as a Xmas gift. Pretty good features and about 4 -5 days battery life between charges. In the last week, the phone drains to dead in less that 5 hours. Previous readerboard entries say "solved" by turning off all features.
What happened to make the battery life suddenly suck? I don't know, I'm not a multinational corporation with almost endless resources. I'm a guy with a useless watch who just wants it to work without me having to invest hours of my personal time researching.
I'm purchased my Galaxy watch late last year. Worked fine with plenty of battery life. Now (May 2019), even though I have changed no settings, the battery now drains in about 14 hours. When charging, the watch says it has charged to 100%. What has happened? This needs to be addressed.
A side note, I did for the first time use PowerShare to recharge my watch with my new S10e phone. I don't do that regularly. Could that have something to do with it?
I know there are plenty of threads here on the issue so I'm putting mine in too. Just bought 2 watches this week 46mm and 42mm both had got the update and it my wifes 42mm that has the battery drain issues shut every off practically and she just had it on LTE at work and it may have lasted 6 hours before it died. Samsung please help!!
I have a Samsung Galaxy watch and, after latest sw update I have identified some massive battery drains. Before update battery used to last about 4-5 days and after update it rarely last more than 2 days. My settings are exactly the same pre and after update and I have tried a lot of things. I use the watch connected with an iPhone and I have also noticed that many times the app stops running.
I have noticed that battery drains occur at some particular moments.
Samsung, I know that I am not the only one and it is unacceptable. Please FIX IT!!
Same issue here on my 46mm Galaxy watch. The latest update means I now have to charge it every day.
i hope a better update can be released soon to fix this issue.
Try making sure that you have your mobile network turned off when you are around your phone and it can connect via bluetooth. I was getting about 8 hours out of my watch until I turned that off and now I'm getting the battery life I expected. I had mine set to auto detect, but clearly my watch was still looking for a network more often than i realized, and that's what was draining the battery. Hope this helps someone!!
I have a 42mm Galaxy Watch
Model Number: SM-R810
Software: One UI version 1.0
My battery lasted 2 days before the software update. Now it lasts like 10 hrs tops without using the principal features.
Someone found a solution to this problem?? Please HELP!!!
