Galaxy Watch

Since last week or longer can't remember, my Galaxy Watch has stopped vibrating for incoming text messages when using the Samsung Messages app on my Galaxy Z Fold 5. All notification and vibration settings are correctly enabled on both the watch and phone. I have rebooted both watch and phone. I’ve also tested with a brand-new watch—same issue thinking my watch was brocken (wasted my money I guess). However, when I switch to Google Messages as the default SMS app, notifications and vibrations work perfectly. This suggests the problem lies with Samsung Messages and how it syncs with the watch. I like the layout and feel of Samsung Messages and hate the Google Messages. Anyone know what to do?? I also cleared catch and data on Samsung Messages still not working. Everything is up to date on both devices.

I'm having the same problem. My watch connects via Bluetooth, and in the Bluetooth settings, I only have the option to connect for calls, no toggle for texts. I have tried everything assisted that I can find

After the recent UI 7 update on my phone (Galaxy S23 Ultra), my watch (Galaxy Watch 6) is not vibrating to alert me to text and calendar notifications. The notifications are all working fine on my phone and I can see the notifications on my watch if I look for them, but there is no vibration to alert me to the notification coming in. Other notifications for phone calls and reminders are working as they should on the watch--it vibrates to alert me to the incoming call or new notification appearing. Texts and calendar notifications, however, are not vibrating. I've checked all the notification settings on both the phone and watch, toggled settings on and off, restarted both devices, and done a reset on the watch. I've talked with customer support, both via online chat and phone call, and no one can provide a solution. I depend on these alerts to notify me of urgent texts when I am at work, so this is more than just a minor inconvenience. I'm hoping someone here can provide a solution to help me resolve this; thanks in advance for your help!

Do you have sound enabled for calendar and text notifications on your phone? If you don't your watch won't make sound either.

Do you have vibration or sound enabled on your watch?

I have sound and vibration enabled for incoming texts on my phone and the vibration enabled on my watch. The watch, however, does not vibrate to alert me to a new text. If I hear the text come in on my phone, I can see the text on my watch, but the watch did not vibrate.

In the Wearable app, do you have this option enabled? 1750822636346.jpg

I just spoke with somebody from Samsung, and they said that Samsung messaging is no longer supported, and if you want to receive notifications of messages on your watch that you need to switch to Google messages.

#Following for solution.

Have same issue and really dislike Google messages. Would like to avoid using it at all costs. I purchased Samsung products because I like Samsung products and platforms. Otherwise I would have purchased Google products. Please resolve this issue for all of us! PLEASE!
