Hey there, are you using a Bluetooth or LTE version of the watch?

I am having the same problem. But, in my case, i have just bought the watch.
I´m using a bluetooth version. It made the configurations and syncronized the funcionalities of my motorola (G6Plus) mobile (with my google account).
The curious thing is: when I receive a call, this message (invalid utf-8) apears, even if the caller name is registered in contacts. However, if i don´t answer the call, the watch gives a missed call notification with caller name!
It made me a little bit confused.
So, I´ve made a test. I asked my brother to send me a SMS. So, i received this SMS notification on watch with his name.
I´m trying to find a solution. If anyone could help me.
Many thanks

Have you tried clearing the cache of your Galaxy wearable application, then clear the cache partition of your cellular device and then restarting both devices? What device are you using?
We would recommend giving those troubleshooting steps a try.

Hi SamsungZell,
Thanks for your response.
So... I´m using a Samsung Galaxy Watch with bluetooth connected with my Motorola G6 Plus.
Everything is work perfectly, except the caller name when i´m receiving a call.
After i´ve read your steps, i did a little search on internet on how to do it. Sorry, i´m not an expert.
For my surprise, i found out that my motorola G6 plus does´t have this option. I don´t know what to do.
Could you give me the steps to clear the cache of my galaxy watch? How do i do it?
Thanks again.

I have the same problem.
Moto G7 Plus (Android 9)
Galaxy Watch (connected via Bluetooth), I always get "Invalid UTF-8 error" when receiving a call both from a known contact or a number I don't have in my phone book.
Everything is up to date and I just set up the watch (I got it this morning).
