I recently upgraded from Gear fit 2 pro to the Galaxy watch 3. The auto pause feature used to work like magic in the gear fit 2 pro. But the auto pause doesn't work in the Galaxy watch 3.
The activity is not paused even when I remain stationary for minutes. The autopause does work properly with other actvities (running etc)
The auto pause does work "very rarely" while cycling too.

Do you experience these symptoms with any other exercises you do on your Galaxy watch 3?

Nope. Not experiencing these symptoms for any other exercise for which auto-pause feature is available (running, walking)

If recording it is recommended to disable auto-pause at slower speeds. The slower speeds often cause the app to pause frequently and have trouble resuming which will result in recording issues. With autopause disabled, the app will calculate moving and stopped time during the upload process instead of during the activity. Autopause may not resume automatically if you remain stopped for a long time. Some phones will shut off the GPS signal to conserve battery if it is not being used for some time. Opening the app to view the record screen will reactive GPS tracking and ensure the recording is resumed when you begin moving.

I didnt understand what you had meant by "recording". Also, I was using the watch's GPS (didn't carry the phone).
