Galaxy watch 4 and Google pay

When using Google pay, it requires a lock code. Why does the entire watch lock?  With Samsung pay, it only locks the app. I'm beginning to miss Tizen.....

With Samsung Pay on the GW4 it stays unlocked until you take the GW4 off your arm.

@edzgnote20 Samsung Pay on my GW4 causes the lock to be enabled to the entire phone just as you are describing for Google Pay.

On my GW3 and Gear S3, there was an option to apply the lock only to Samsung Pay. This options seems to be missing from the GW4.
