For the remote connection to work on the LTE watches the Bluetooth has to be turned off on one of the devices. Pair the devices via Bluetooth and then turn off the Bluetooth on the watch and it should say remote connection. Please advise if you are not seeing this.
This is exactly the issue everyone is having. On both my devices listed above, the watch will not remotely connect to my phone when bluetooh is off and wifi or cellular data is being used. Both watches have access to the internet via wifi or t-mobile cellular network and can browse the internet or listen to music just fine. But they won't connect to my phone.
Please escalate this issue to the relevant departments to fix this.
@SamsungRei Same thing is happening to me. My watch worked perfectly for a month until, it seems, when the Wearable App updated a week or so ago. Now I cannot connect my watch remotely. I have to have Bluetooth on on my phone in order to receive any notifications besides a call on my watch.
I have tried this and the watch says in standalone.

I'm having the same issue. Bought an s10 through Verizon last week. Got a new Verizon LTE frontier s3 sat night. Setup number share and have all the settings right according to my research but I have yet to get the watch to leave standby and enter remote connected 1 time. Makes the purchase of the watch pointless if the remote connection won't work. Please assist Samsung
@SamsungRei this has never been the case in the past, my watch has automatically connected to my phone via Wi-Fi or wireless LTE network whether Bluetooth was on or off on either device. It would connect via another connection as soon as Bluetooth was unavailable.
So just to clarify, the Wi-Fi is turned on both devices, the Bluetooth is turned off on one of the devices, and the devices still aren't pairing to remote connection is that correct?
For my watches, when on wifi or cellular data with bluetooth turned off on either or both my phone/watch, remote connect does not work.
The watches have access to the internet through wifi or cell data. The phone has access to the internet. But the remote connection is not working. And in the Galaxy Wearables app, Remote Connect is enabled.
We have escalated this to our team of specialist for further research. We will reach back out when we have further information.
