Any idea when the new software update will be fully rolled out? Im in US and there is a software update that will enable the ECG and oxygen sensor among other things. In the app or says my watch is up to date but it doesn't math version I see online for the new update and I don't have those features yet.
I've tried restarting watch, deleting app from phone, factory reset on watch and restarting my phone and it still says there is no update available.
I think it was his website that shows the update is out in the US already. His picture is how I know I don't have latest software version on watch. I contacted Samsung customer support yesterday and they confirmed it's out and said they can't force an update.
I was wondering if they push it out to entire market at once in US or in stages? If it's in stages I'll wait a bit but if not then I need to exchange my watch for a new one.
here's more info on that update: https://www.xda-developers.com/samsung-galaxy-watch-3-first-update-blood-oxygen-monitoring/ and https://www.sammobile.com/news/first-galaxy-watch-3-update-blood-oxygen-monitoring-more/
It can take time for that update to be deployed to all devices so keep in the look out for that!
I just got the latest update on my watch this morning. However, neither the Blood Oxygen or the SpO2 widgets are included, despite the fact that in the noteson the new update, it said they were included. I called Samsung and they first tried to tell me that those widgets would only be included on the Galaxy Watch 3 Active (which doesn't come out until next year) then told me that those widgets would be in a later software update, around Q3 this year (which is now, SMH). I rebooted both the watch and the phone, confirmed that I'm also running Android 10 and OneUI 2.1, forced stopped the Galaxy Wearable app, cleared the cache and still NOTHING. Incredibly frustrating!!!
It sounds like the update is taking tike to roll out: https://www.sammobile.com/news/first-galaxy-watch-3-update-blood-oxygen-monitoring-more/

Have you made sure the watch is fully updates and you are using the Samsung Health app? If so, the roll out may take a couple of days!
I received my Galaxy watch 3 yesterday, it immediately updated during the pairing process, and when it was done, and paired, I received notice of a Samsung Health update. After the watch updated, I had the Blood Oxygen widget, which I immediately fired up. Worked.
Today, I compared the Blood Oxygen widget on the watch, with my iHealth Blood Oxygen sensor that I had been using, and they matched exactly. I had the watch on my wrist, and the iHealth on my finger on the same hand. I'm impressed. Haven't had a chance to check out the other newbies though, but I am pleased. It would be nice to be able to set a schedule to periodically check the SpO2, but perhaps that might come down the road.
