Hi, I have got a bug.

The watch5pro doesn't recognize when I'm riding a motorcycle and counts the travelled path as walked.

I do not know if it is because of vibration, but when riding a motorcycle there is a quite higher speed but the watch does not take it into account and sums some hundred of steps on each ride... it makes the daily count useless. I cannot neither "switch off" the counting. That is odd too. Hope soon a fix to these problems.

Thanks in advance!

Thank you for reaching out. I can certainly understand your frustration with the Galaxy watch 5 pro counting steps while riding your motorcycle or biking. Your Samsung smartwatch automatically tracks the number of steps you've taken while wearing it. There are different factors that can cause the watch's step count to be inaccurate. However, you may need to verify how your steps are being counted by Samsung Health. If you use the steps tracker while traveling by car or train, vibration may affect your step count. Give this link a try for more ways to keep your step count more accurate: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/troubleshooting/TSG01003112/#inaccurate-step-factors-on-your-sams...

Please know that you can disable the automatic workout tracking inside the Samsung Health app on your watch while riding the motorcycle if you wish to have a more accurate step count. Give this link a try for steps to turn off automatic workout detection: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00083510/

Same here when we're on our ST1300.

It's even worse when on the zero turn, mowing the pastures ...

Kep in mind your watch works off vibration when walking so of course riding a motorcycle or any little movement will count. This has happen to me as well.

For some reason i can't reply to another post about this, where support suggested this link:

https://www.samsung.com/us/support/troubleshooting/TSG01003112/#inaccurate-step-factors-on-your-sams...

this does NOT help at all.

Support mentions there may be a problem when running step tracker while driving/riding motorcycles.

Are they referring to running it on the background or something else? Still no solution.

My step count goes up when motorcycling ...

But it counts even more steps when riding the zero turn mower out in the pastures 🙂

cutting grass/hay in the pasture is a very bumpy ride and SHOULD count as steps 😉
