Google Messages not appearing

Google Messages is not appearing on the watch's apps screen nor the apps screen for Wearable app.

1) Google messages is selected as default messaging app on S23 Ultra. All permissions are granted and notifications on.

2) Google Play Store says Google Messages installed on BOTH S23 Ultra and Galaxy Watch 5 Pro

3) Inside Wearable app, notifications for Samsung Messages to off, notifications for Google Messages to on. (Yes Google Messages shows here but NOT apps screen)

Are you sure it's not there?  You don't have two message app icons that look similar but are different?  Which watch?

Similar, I go to my watch, tap on the messaging icon which is still the Samsung logo and it tells me I need to set Google messages as my default which I have already done. There is no Google messaging icon on my watch screen either. Not sure what else I can do at this point. I can receive messages, I just can't initiate them and send them out from the watch alone.

Exactly, if Samsung is going to push us to use Google messaging, they should make sure it's supported fully on the watches. As well as a preview of my messages will not show on my aod in the pop-up. They need to get on top of this.
