Since Samsung is forcing the change, I have started using Google Messages.  I recently got a Samsung Fit 3.  Love it, except now it will not vibrate when I get a text msg.  It will show the red light indicator, but does not vibrate.  It vibrated fine when using Samsung messages.  I have researched and triple checked all my settings, both on my S 25 and on the Fit 3.  Everything is set to where I should be getting a vibration.  This is a very important feature to me, and should not be an issue.  Please help, as I am about ready to find a new smart watch.

You don't have to use Google Messages. There are too many apps you can use.

Would greatly appreciate any recommendations for an app that's close to Samsung's?

Unfortunately, there are none. Samsung Messages is a great app; no other app can even come close. Also, I have to try apps myself so I can suggest them, and I'm waiting until the last day of Samsung Messages. Once it stops, then I will look for an alternative.
But first app will try is Textra

Did you check the setting on the Fit itself?  Is there a companion app for the Fit 3?  If the Fit 3 is has a Tizen OS, there is no longer support for it and certain apps may not work as you expect and you may not be able to download a companion app, if it exists.

The fit 3 was released in 2024, it neither runs WesrOS or Tizen. It runs FreeROTS it has no Google Play Services.

So are you saying that with the OS the fit 3 runs, there will be no way to get Google Messages to vibrate for notification?

You will have to wait and see what Samsung does with it with an update. Whether there will be a plug-in to mirror a vibration to your fit device.
