The regular method for calculating heart rate zones (Max Heart Rate) is a generalized method.
The Heart Rate Reserve option for calculating your target heart zones is incorrect on my watch 7. Each zone is standardized by percentages:
Zone 1: 50% to 60%
Zone 2: 60% to 70%
Zone 3: 70% to 80%
Zone 4: 80% to 90%
Zone 5: 90% to 100%
Each Zone is incorrectly configured (Ex, when calculating Zone 2, the correct percentage falls in Zone 4 on my watch. The percentages are calculated higher than the 10% range for each zone).
Has anyone else noticed this? I asked Samsung about this, and they did not understand my issue. This is an essential feature for those who prefer using HRR for a more specific target range for their goals.
