Hello,

I'm interested in the HRV Tracker app shown on the bipr.fi site with a link to the Samsung Galaxy Store.

https://galaxystore.samsung.com/geardetail/org.bipr.hrvtracker

Does anyone have experience using this app? It's had no updates since 2021.04.23 and has pretty low user review scores, but I'm just wondering if it is still operational and functional.

Thanks in advance.

@dsghi Thanks for the fine reference! I've been checking that app also and I plan to sign up with them once the Galaxy Watch 6 comes out. So far, I've been really impressed with their customer service responses to my questions. Can't wait to try it out.

@dsghi

Hi, I'm ready to order the Welltory app and have a couple of questions, maybe you can help answer.

  1. Via email, I spoke with their customer support, and they said that they are experiencing some difficulties with the stability of the application on the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 due to some changes made to the way the watch sensors are accessed. Maybe it's due to a new operating system, I don't know, and they didn't say.  Can you tell me if the app is stable on your device and maybe what device you have?
  2. I noticed they have a large amount of data listed in their permissions that gets shared with other 3rd parties. I'm not exactly sure how all of it applies and on what basis.  Have you experienced any issues with this?

Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

It is unfortunately unstable, I opened a support request with them back when I had the watch 5 and the beta was active, that's when it stopped working. The good news is they've made progress, and I get 3-4 daily automatic readings and manual readings are working so I'm not upset any longer about having a paid membership, there was a period after I purchased my new Watch 6 that I almost canceled.

I'm not too concerned about the data they are collecting, I'm syncing with Samsung Health and Google, so I have that exposure already, and I feel pretty comfortable with their transparency about data usage and their data destruction policy if I ever change my mind.
