I have a Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 Classic. For a while now, I have been unable to measure my heart rate due to error messages stating that the watch is not properly on my wrist even though it is. Wrist detection does not seem to work either. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this?

Do you regularly clean the underside of your watch?

Do you have tattoos where the watch rests?

Is your watch tight on your wrist with little or no LED light visible from the back of the watch in the dark? A loose fit will cause measurement issues with the watch's health features.

It's not too tight. I have tried to take the heart rate manually and see a green sensor light flashing, but I'm always told that I'm not wearing the watch properly when I know I am. The watch is a finger width above my wrist bone and it is snug on my wrist.

You could try a different band, but sometimes resetting it helps with detection!!

You might need to visit an authorized Samsung service center to have the watch evaluate.
