How to auto-dismiss notifications on my Galaxy watch Ultra

I have the Samsung Ultra 7 and came from the 5 pro. My question is this, so when I get notifications on my watch like text message which is what i need. I then go to my phone to view them and respond. How do I tell my watch to get rid of the notifications for all the text messages once I read them on my phone? I am using my Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra and use Google messages. It also happens with Facebook messager. Any help with this would be great, it seems like I am missing a setting.

The only way is to swipe them away on your watch

Really there is no way that it auto gets rid of them once you view each notification on your phone?

Sorry to say, but on all of the watchs I've owned, you've always had to swipe them away they never auto clear

I don't know sbout that. If i dismiss a notification or text on my phone, it deletes it from the watch and vice versa. I never have had to double dismiss. If i open the message on either device, it dismisses it from the other.

The only time it doesn't dismiss on either device is if I go directly to the messaging app to read the message, but when I pull down the notification shade and press the "clear" button, the notification gets dismissed in both places.

Don't know what to say about that. Never thought twice about it. I would have noticed if I ever had to continually double dismiss. I just always thought thats the way its supposed to be. Even dismisses on the phone when connected remotely if I dismiss a notification on my watch.

Well, some clear but not my email or messages
