I have the Samsung Ultra 7 and came from the 5 pro. My question is this, so when I get notifications on my watch like text message which is what i need. I then go to my phone to view them and respond. How do I tell my watch to get rid of the notifications for all the text messages once I read them on my phone? I am using my Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra and use Google messages. It also happens with Facebook messager. Any help with this would be great, it seems like I am missing a setting.

My sister refuses to text me and always uses FB messenger. If i read it on my watch, it dismisses the notification on the phone. If i open messenger directly on the phone, the notification does not dismiss, but if i enter the message from the notification on the phone, it dismisses on the watch. I don't get notifications for email on either device, so I can't speak to that. I have 5 email accounts, the notifications for all the junk would drive me nuts. I check my email regularly, I don't need notifications.

If synchronized with your smartphone, it should be deleted as soon as you deleted them on your smartphone. Both units must be logged and registered on your Samsung account, and setuos been properly selected. Download both smartphone andd watch pdf manuals from the Samsung webpage.

Have you tried to signing out from your Samsung account on all your devices, then signing in on all again? Have some similar issues years ago when logged on smartphone, smartwatch and tablet, as it supposedly all synced....

They should go away when you dismiss them on your phone, just going into the text app will not dismiss the notifications.  You have to click the notification.  If you click the message on your watch and scroll down to "show on phone", it will automatically simultaneously open the message on your phone and dismiss the notifications.  You also have the option of scrolling all the way to the right on the watch screen, where you will have the option to delete all notifications.  This should also delete them from your phone notification area.

Yes I understand that, but even when I view some notifications on my phone they won't delete on my watch.

That's unfortunate and I cannot tell you why that happens.  I only know that on my watches, dismissing a notification on one device dismisses on the other, whether it's phone to watch or watch to phone.
