How to auto-dismiss notifications on my Galaxy watch Ultra

I have the Samsung Ultra 7 and came from the 5 pro. My question is this, so when I get notifications on my watch like text message which is what i need. I then go to my phone to view them and respond. How do I tell my watch to get rid of the notifications for all the text messages once I read them on my phone? I am using my Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra and use Google messages. It also happens with Facebook messager. Any help with this would be great, it seems like I am missing a setting.

Yes, and FB messenger messages. Any notification I get. If I dismiss it on one device, it gets dismissed from the other, same if I respond to a message.

What you use for your text message app?

That's what I use, so let me get this straight, you get a Google message text message notification. You go to your phone to view it and after you view your message you go back to your watch then swape left and that notification is gone?

No, i get the message, look at it on my watch and then respond on the watch, after that, the notification is gone from both devices. If I choose not to respond at that time, i dismiss the notification and it's gone from both devices. The message is still in Google messages for me to respond to later, if it requires a response. Same with FB messenger and any other notification I get. I tend to dismiss from my watch when I am out, as the phone is in my pack. At home I dismiss from either, depending on whether I am near the phone or not.

Ok I only respond on my phone when I get notifications and don't use my watch to respond. I only use the watch to get notified that I got a new notification and need to look at my phone.

I respond on either device. When I am home, it's usuallt on the phone, if I'm out, its on the watch. Either way, dismussing or responding dismisses the notification from both devices.
