Galaxy Watch
Last Wednesday, there was a message that popped up on my phone, I trouble understanding it, then all of sudden, the watch shut down. I have tried pressing both the back & home button for several minutes, and nothing. If anybody has any suggestions, other than taking a sledgehammer to it. It would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Galaxy Watch
I recommend taking your Watch to a Samsung authorized service center, like uBreakiFix, for a free evaluation. They will be able to tell you what went wrong and offer you options for a resolution.

Galaxy Watch
Totally get the frustration—you’re not alone, and don’t worry, you might not need the sledgehammer yet. Based on what you described (unexpected shutdown after a strange message + unresponsive buttons), your watch might be stuck in a crash loop, firmware freeze, or low battery dead state.
Here’s a step-by-step rescue plan:
Try These in Order: 1. Forced Restart
Press and hold the Power (Home) button alone (not both) for at least 10–20 seconds — some models are sensitive to how long it's held.
If the screen flickers, release immediately. If nothing happens, continue below. 2. Charging Reset (Dead Battery Recovery) Use the original charger (or a Samsung-compatible one). Place the watch on the charger, and leave it for at least 30 minutes. Then press and hold the Power button for 10–15 seconds while it's still charging.
Why? If the battery drained and crashed the firmware, it may need a stable power connection to reboot the firmware controller.
3. Try Booting into Recovery Mode
If your watch is a Galaxy Watch (like Fit 3, Watch 5/6):
Hold the Power button until you see the Samsung logo. Quickly press the Power button multiple times (5–7 taps). If you see “Reboot Mode”, use the button to select “Recovery” or “Reboot”.
If this doesn’t work and your watch is still dead:
Final Option: Samsung Repair / Service If it's under warranty and died after a software bug, Samsung should repair or replace it. Bring it to a Samsung Service Center or start a repair request online via Samsung's support site.
If you tell me the exact model (Galaxy Watch 4, Fit 3, etc.), I can give more precise steps. Would you like that?

Galaxy Watch
Have you tried putting it on the charger for at least a few hours?
