Is it possible to get wireless emergency alerts to show up on the Galaxy watch?

I have a Watch 6 Classic connected to a Galaxy S23U. I get wireless emergency alerts (amber alerts, extreme weather alerts, etc.) on the phone but it does not show up on the watch.

I checked the notifications on Samsung Gear on the phone but the alerts are not listed under the latest notifications.

Is there any way to get the wireless emergency alerts on the watch too so it can be read when the phone is not on me?

I noticed this earlier on my watch ultra (2025) I had the option for amber alerts, etc on the watch but now it's gone and even when they were on they never notified it only gave the alert on my phone I'm also curious why they removed the setting now to turn them on or off

Yes. You have to do it on the watch itself. Open the settings and navigate to safety and emergency snd scroll down to wireless emergency alerts, tap it to turn it on and configure the alerts you want.

Unfortunately, my watch does not have Wireless Emergency Alerts option under Safety & Emergency. I am on the latest software with One UI 8.0 Watch. ☹️

I have a watch 7 running OneUI8.0.  I don't know why it wouldn't be on the watch 6 - they are essentially the same watch and should have the same settings.  Have you tried clearing your watch's cache partition?

Yes, I clear the watch cache partition after every update since One UI 8.0. Thanks for letting me know that the option exists on Watch 7. Maybe it is an error with Watch 6c update and the next one will fix it.

It's possible you have to do a factory reset on the watch.

Thanks. I will try that if the next update doesn't fix it. Meanwhile, I hope other Watch 6 family owners can chip in whether they see the Wireless Emergency Alert notifications on their watch or not.
