Model:** Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra SM-L705F

**Firmware:** L705FXXU3BZB4

**One UI Watch:** 8.0

**Issue started:** May 4, 2026

**Issue description:**

GPS is incorrectly recording workout routes starting from May 4, 2026. The problem manifests in two different ways depending on activity type:

1. **Running** โ€” GPS track is recorded with severe inaccuracies, the route on the map does not correspond to the actual path taken.

2. **Walking** โ€” GPS track cuts off approximately 200m or not record at all at distances about 2,5 km , before the actual stopping point, although the total distance is displayed correctly, but track totally incorrect

The issue reproduces consistently on the same routes where GPS was working correctly before May 4, 2026. The watch is connected to the phone via Bluetooth during workouts. Auto-pause is disabled. Restarting the watch did not resolve the issue.

At attached image you can see that total distance is 2,75 km. Recorded track is only

Hi @Erickredbeard, thanks for reaching out to the Samsung Community. I know It's important to be able to correctly track your runs so that has to be frustrating. I will see what I can do to assist. I do know certain watch bands can cause interference especially if it's a metal band so if you have one you may want to consider changing it.

Have you made sure the watch is fully updated? That is important to insure everything runs properly.

If you're indoors, step outdoors to restart the watch. Be sure to avoid standing between buildings or in poor weather conditions like a storm.

The last thing I can suggest is reaching out to the country support where the watch was manufactured. Some watches are different in other countries, and they would be able to provide more accurate troubleshooting for your issue.

This forum is for the support of US products and customers. As your product is a non-US model and support for these models is very limited, please seek a support team for your area. You can do so by using this link: http://www.samsung.com/visitcountry
