I've just got a galaxy watch 7 and my mic isn't working for google assistant or Bixby. If I restart it will work for a little bit but then stop again. I've tried looking this up but I cant find anything. I've done a diagnostic test and its working fine. Any help appreciated.

I recall the same thing happening several times with my Galaxy Watch Ultra, but I think that the latest watch update has solved the problem. Make sure that your watch software is up to date.

In the Wear app on your phone, open Watch settings > Device care > Diagnostics > Connected device diagnostics, which should be your watch, and select Mic. This test will have you test the mic on the watch by having you record and then play back your voice. If this test fails, you should go to Quick help on the same phone screen as Connected device diagnostics and contact Samsung tech support by selecting Send feedback.

Had the same issue. Finally got my mic working in Google assistant on the watch. I don't know if the fix will stick and I'm not sure what specifically fixed it but here's what I did.

Uninstalled Google assistant from the watch. Didn't fully remove because when I installed it again it was "update" rather than "install".

Switched the button shortcut back to Google assistant since after I removed Google assistant the shortcut automatically got switched to Bixby.

Shut down the watch, charged it and turned it back on.

My mic has been working with assistant for 7 hours so far.
