My watch overheats and turns off

My watch says it's overheating and automatically turns off. I didn't feel any difference or heat coming off the watch today. I did take it off and set it on my desk, an hour later I'm still getting the same warning :warning:.  I've also tried rebooting the watch and again, same warning :warning:.
