Galaxy Watch@Overhaul_1531 S Pen requires a digitize layer in the device. A simple software update couldn't add S Pen functionality to a device.

Galaxy WatchThat's the reason the S26U STILL doesn't have a magsafe equivalent built-in. It completely renders the aforementioned digitizer layer in the OLED useless since that tech actually operates on micro magnetic fields itself. That's why any magnet especially strong rare earth ones, are heavily recommended against when an Spen is involved.
Watches work fine for us bigger handed folks anyway I have very large hands and don't have any real issues with touching the target on my watch. They make the "touch zone" bigger for watches.
I'd much rather them reintroduce bt back to the Spen!
