It sounds like this is a known issue from what I read all over the net. Since the 8UI update, Samsung Watch 7 & 8 no longer vibrate or make notification sounds. Is there a fix for this? I've checked all settings, do not disturb, mute, etc. etc. etc. Even did a couple of factory resets, to no avail. I would think one of the main features would be fixed ASAP? That's kind of the who point of a watch.
My Galaxy Watch Ultra 2024 is fully updated and provides vibration and audible alarms when notifications occur. You need to open the Wearable app on your phone, open Watch settings>Notifications, where you can select which phone and watch apps you want notifications from. In addition, you can select to Alway show on both, which will ensure that notifications occur on both your phone and watch. In Advanced settings, you can additionally select to turn on the watch screen when notifications are received and to display a new notification indicator on your watch screen.
Hey wxbenny! Thanks for visiting the Community. Not receiving notifications will definitely sour the watches experience. I agree with neilth. If his steps do not help, I recommend checking to make sure your watch hasn't had any updates that may have missed. Please let us know if this helps.
