Not smart on time zones

My watch (R805) and S10 are connected; date and time on the watch are set to update automatically. When I drive between the Central and Eastern time zones, the phone behaves as expected and adjusts the time within a few minutes/miles.  However, the watch does not, even more than 12 hours later and deep into the other time zone.  Power-cycling the watch fixes the time (dis-&reconnecting it does not), but the issue repeats on the next time zone change.  What may I be missing?

Yes - both watch and phone have no updates available.

@userOXQkRvQwv8 have you tried clearing the cache on your watch?
