I have the Galaxy Watch Active 2. Notifications take several seconds to display while using the wake up gesture due to the slow animations. A few seconds doesn't sound like a long time but feels very long in practice. The point of the wake up gesture is to quickly glance for information but the animation delay makes you keep your wrist up and eyes on the watch for a lot longer than needed. I had the Apple Watch, and in this regard, it worked perfectly where the message pops up at the same time as raising the wrist and looking at the watch. I don't think there is a way to improve this on the Galaxy Watches and hoping this feedback can somehow make it to the product team to consider improving. I would suggest an option to simply turn off the animation.
