Has anyone heard about Samsung now possibly going to make some of the features in Samsung Heath paid features. Personally I don't like it. I have a Galaxy Watch Ultra 7, it an expensive premium watch and I don't feel as I should have to pay for anymore features. It may be time to put my smart watch away and go back to a regular watch. I'm fed up with companies charging so much for their products then say "Oh well here's another fee and we don't care". Maybe I'll explore jumping to Apple. Most of my friends and family have iPhone's anyway. I've always been a Samsung fan and phone user but it may be time to say goodbye.

I have not heard that rumor, and rumor it is, until there's some wide scale reporting on it.  Reminds me of all the times the internet circulated the falsehood that there would be a per message charge for email to subsidize the post office because it was losing revenue because less snail mail was being sent.

That's a rumor that I have not seen anywhere, and I pay attention to the Samsung ecosystem. The fact that Samsung Health provides many features that Fitbit Premium has, but without the subscription price, is a huge benefit that draws many people to Samsung. I'm sure execs know that a subscription would result in a mass exodus of customers.

There is some chatter about the new health features to be released with the release of 8. Supposedly free for a while then a subscription. Do a web search and you can read what is out there. Nothing official of course

Nothing official means rumor.  Even if they did introduce new health features with a subscription plan, it does not mean that users will want those features or even want them enough to pay for them.  I doubt that they will put their core features on a subscription plan, and it would have to be features that are unique to Samsung, as there is so much competition out there that do not require a subscription for their services.

I have seen articles referencing the possibility of it and I for one wouldn't be paying for it. For one, these features are far too inaccurate still and devices like the smart watches still don't get to use all the features that are built into it depending on the region you live in because of stupid permissions. I'm still salty about Samsung and USA not coming to an agreement on the blood pressure feature so we still can't use that in North America. I already paid a ton for the watch and there are enough subscription Services out there already. I don't agree with paying for the AI Services either. I hardly find myself using any of them except for phone control and because they can't seem to make Gemini and advanced version of Google Assistant, it's still feels broken and that's who's tailcoat Samsung decided to ride on with all of this...
