JUMP TO SOLUTION

Does anyone know if your Shealth steps are doubled when booth the smart watch and phone are on your person all day? Or does it somehow only take one reading?

JUMP TO SOLUTION

Samsung Health eliminates duplicate counts recorded by both devices. For example if at 10 am for 10 minutes both devices record 100 steps, Samsung Health is smart enough to know that you walked 100 steps not 200 steps.

I believe when both watch and phone both have readings. It takes both steps and averages them. I dont exactly know the algorithm but it doesnt add them together.
