Galaxy Watch

Hi.

I am from Sri Lanka. I bought my Galaxy watch two years ago from Dubai. I have had my Galaxy watch for over 2 years now so I am afraid that the warranty has run out.

This morning I washed my hand after coming to the office using public transport. As expected, water flown over the watch as I washed hands.  I have read that the watch is water resistant up to 5 feet of water for 30 minutes. I never wear it in the water. The watch did not go anywhere near the specs of the water resistance but I noticed after the incident in the morning the face of the watch did not come to live, only the back (green) light was blinking. Then I switched off. Now it is not responding any more. What can be the reasons and what should I do? I did not open it or did anything after that.

I feel like my perfectly good working watch (before the hand washing even) is now useless and it is a little unfair as I followed the guidelines. please help.

You aren't supposed to run your watch through water from a sink/shower. It cannot handle the water pressure.

I ran my watch under sink water to clean it and it works fine. When you get out of the pool or ocean, the watch must be rinsed with fresh water

OP stated their watch stopped working after getting it wet in the sink, I'm telling them that they aren't supposed to be doing that as that can run the risk of damaging the device.

Good for you though. I run my watch through the sink too and it works perfectly fine as well.
