Problems with automatic detection of exercise

I have a galaxy watch active 2. When automatic detection of any activity starts, there's no way to stop, cancel or pause it. Furthermore, automatic detection of an activity doesn't register all the data as it is done when we set up an activity manually, it misses information such as speed and distance, showing only the heart rate.

I've had the same problem. The watch doesn't detect you exercising until your heart rate goes up. It's better to begin an exercise manually.
