Hello. The Samsung SMS (Messaging) app is very much behind the times. I am okay with such a simplistic app on my watch, but I want the up-to-date features of the Google Messaging app, (such as junk SMS detection -- I get a lot of junk SMS -- and automatic detection and entry of OTP security codes).
Everything appears to work okay with me using Google Messaging on my phone and Samsung Messaging on my watch. Except that each time I go into the SMS app on my watch, it asks me to set Samsung Messaging as the default on both the watch and phone. How do I make these prompts to change defaults go away.
I guess nobody else cares that Samsung is forcing them to use Facebook Messenger instead of a simple messaging app to read and send SMS. I guess it's okay with everyone that Facebook gets to see all your SMS messages and contacts, and will store them forever.
