Galaxy WatchI have the same issue -- VERY annoying as it makes these views almost useless while running or biking. This needs a resolution ASAP.

Galaxy WatchI got the standard response about the issue being sent to the developer team. That was via the feedback tool with Samsung Members.
I am sure this has to be widespread across watch Ultra customers.

Galaxy WatchHopefully, soon.
As noted by many in this community and on Reddit, the battery life has taken a hit with the last Watch Ultra Wear OS update. For clarity, the OS version is attached as a screen shot to this comment. Prior to the update, my watch Ultra used to last 2-3 days even with exercise activity requiring GPS. Post update, even without GPS usage the watch will drain in one day.
This is noted by several across communities.
Perhaps, each issue will be addressed in the next OS update. My concern is that Wear OS updates are typically spaced months apart, unlike the phone which receives monthly patches and bug fixes.
Given the issues, maybe we will see a quicker update from Samsung.
The activity screen rendering alone, leaves the watch unusable for outside activities.

Galaxy WatchI have a Galaxy Watch 4, and after the latest update Iโm experiencing the same issue. I canโt properly work out outdoorsโthe display isnโt visible at all. Itโs a bit frustrating.

Galaxy WatchMy next step is probably a full reset, even though itโs a hassle. Samsung backs up some settings and apps, but not everything โ folders, layouts, and certain apps still have to be reinstalled and re-authenticated. A few people in the Galaxy Watch Facebook group said a reset fixed it for them.
Before going that far, you can try clearing the cache partition (plenty of YouTube walkthroughs). It didnโt fix the issue for me, which is why Iโm leaning toward a reset. Watch updates take months, and thereโs no guarantee the next one will resolve it.

Galaxy Watch## **Galaxy Watch Ultra โ US LTE (L705U)
One UI Watch 8.0 โข Software L705USQU3BZB5
Samsung Health 6.31.1001 (March 18, 2026)**
After running a full reset and then testing the latest Samsung Health update, I can confirm the dimโscreen issue on the activity screen is tied to the **combination** of the new OS build and the **Samsung Health 6.31.1001** update.
### **Before Reset โ #fail**
- Activity screen in Samsung Health consistently dim after the OS update.
- First activity would appear normal for a moment, then dim.
- No lasting fix through settings, reboots, or cache clears.
### **After Reset โ #win**
- Watch became noticeably faster and more responsive.
- Battery behavior improved (still stabilizing).
- Modes sync instantly between watch and phone.
- Samsung Health activity screen returned to normal brightness.
- First activity after reset dimmed once, second and onward were normal.
### **Samsung Health 6.31.1001 โ Regression**
- Overnight autoโupdates installed Samsung Health 6.31.1001.
- Next morning, the activity screen was dim again with no selfโcorrection.
- Uninstalling the Samsung Health update immediately restored normal brightness.
- Reproduced this twice:
- **Install update โ dim screen**
- **Uninstall update โ normal brightness**
### **Current State โ #win**
- Disabled โAutoโinstall while chargingโ in the Play Store on the watch.
- Running the rolledโback Samsung Health version (preโupdate).
- Activity screen brightness is stable and correct.
- I will skip Samsung Health 6.31.1001 until Samsung issues a fix.
### **Conclusion**
This is a **replicable interaction bug** between:
1. **One UI Watch 8.0 (L705USQU3BZB5)**
2. **Samsung Health 6.31.1001 (March 18, * (Your date may vary as Samsung staggers the release of software updates).
The only reliable workflow:
**Reset watch โ allow Samsung Health to roll back โ block autoโupdates.**
Hope this helps others avoid the same loop. ๐

Galaxy WatchI tested all three recent versions of Samsung Health on the Watch Ultra, and hereโs the outcome.
6.30.7.007 (Nov โ25) still had the dimming issue before a reset but worked fine after a full reset.
6.31.1001 (Mar โ26) had the bug even after a reset โ this was the problem build.
Updating to the new 6.32.0.001 (Apr 14 โ26) finally fixed the issue completely.
For most people already on 6.31.1001, updating straight to 6.32.0.001 should resolve it; a full reset is only needed if the bug sticks around after updating.
