Samsung Health should use only external heart rate monitor when connected, not watch's

Galaxy Watch 5 Pro owner here. I also use an external heart rate monitor (Polar H10) connected to Samsung Heath phone app. How can I force the Samsung Health phone app to use only the external HRM (Polar H10) during workouts, and not the watch's heart rate readings? With my original Galaxy Watch, when I started a workout from the S Health phone app, it would use only the Polar H10 to track my heart rate, and not the watch's heart rate readings. But with the Galaxy Watch 5, Samsung Health phone app seems to "combine" the heart rate readings of both the Polar H10 and the Galaxy Watch 5. During a workout, on the Samsung Health screen, I can see the heart rate reading jumping back and forth between two widely different readings. And after the workout, the plotted heart rate is all "jittery" and clearly less accurate than if it just used the Polar H10's reading.

I know the GW5's heart rate sensor isn't the best during more intense or interval-type workouts, and I accept that, which is why I got the external HRM, but I don't want S Health messing that up. Again, my original Galaxy Watch did this just fine, so not sure why I can't make it work the same on GW5.

Ideas?  Or, Samsung, please add this option/feature to the Samsung Health app for GW5.

Thanks!
