Your timing may be a bit inaccurate. The pushes should be executed swiftly and in quick succession, rather than being held down.

Hi, Joanna71
We hate to hear that you are having issues with the features on your watch. Please give these steps a try so that hopefully you can use the SOS feature:
>Make sure that the software is up to date on both your phone and the watch.
>Ensure that Emergency SOS is activated by going into the watch settings> safety and emergency> Emergency SOS. Try toggling off the feature and then turn it back on.
>Please make sure that you have selected at least one emergency contact or the feature will not work at all. If you are in the US, try removing "+1" from the emergency contact number. I would also try removing the contact and re-adding them to your emergency contact list.
>Make sure that your phone is connected to your watch via bluetooth if it is not LTE.
>Check the app permissions to verify it has permissions for location and the send message feature.
>Reset Watch: If all else fails, reset your watch via the app, but make sure to back-up the watch before resetting the watch.
