Samsung's announcement for watch 4 malfunction

Hey guys, I just found out that Samsung Korea(not US) made a new announcement regarding the 'power not turning on' issue after the recent update(VI3).

According to the announcement, Samsung admitted that there were some problem with the recent update and decided to offer free repair for eleigible devices.

However, unlike Samsung Korea, I could not find any announcement made by Samsung US so if you can find one or some response from Samsung US, please share.

I share the anouncement by Samsung Korea in case anyone needs it.

Yeah my galaxy watch 4 classic battery died after a recent update and now appears bricked will not charge or power back on called Samsung support called said I need to take it to a licensed repair facility but at what cost

can't imagine "fixing" the watch without a proper firmware update available. maybe call Samsung again and see what they say, in light of this update's problems. couldn't hurt.

For it will not charge at all or power up I've tried multiple chargers and bricks for those chargers to be sure but same results no matter what

Yes, unfortunately you have the update that is causing issues. As long as you keep your watch from running out of battery or turning it off, you shouldn't have any problems.

My watch 4 bricked last night after going off while making dinner, messed with it for hours with no success. Called Samsung support this morning and was told I would have to send the device to them, at my cost because I'm 30 days out of warranty, then have a hold placed on my account for repair costs. Told them thanks but no. Hopefully this gets sorted out quickly.
