Unable to show texts on Samsung galaxy watch from Motorola G5s plus. Android version 8.1.0 and Ram 4.0gb. From what I read on Samsung compatible phones  this should qualify. Even took watch back to Best buy for geek squad to try for about 40 mins with it spinning to pair.. Gave back and said basically sorry. Have spent 2-3 more hours since with no luck? Have all other apps . Receiving FB INSTANT MSG.. Any help before returning watch  thanks

Return it. There is no fix. I had an LG which didn't work and now I have the G6 still same exact problem. Nobody from Samsung wants to address the problem.

Sorry to be so negative... I've tried and tried and tried.

Hey! I hope you are still watching this thread. I solved it! Hopefully this helps you too!

as you're probably most likely aware check all your apps settings first like you probably have already done.

THEN go to your Bluetooth settings menu on your phone. Find your watch. Tap it. There's 3 or so options. One of them I believe the second or third needed to be turn on. I did it and BAM! Texts and everything flows through like it should.

Turns out for me at least.. my watch needed WIFI to send and receive texts. I turned it to Bluetooth (my phone) and it immediately worked.

How I got my clue was I tried to send a text and I got a message saying I needed WIFI to do that. That was my clue and how I worked it out.

I hope this helps others out there!

What kind of phone do you have? I have the Moto g6 still trying to get text notifications.  I did turn on contact sharing in Bluetooth (that was the only one not on and put watch to Bluetooth only

I've been racking my brain over this for a couple hours. I came across a fix, despite it apparently being a bug. If your phone or watch is on vibrate/silent, your notifications go silent. Turn your watch volume on the lowest setting and you'll be able to adjust your notification level. This worked for me. Hope it works for you.
