Screen time out settings are not working

I owe the galaxy active 2 and the screen timeout is not working. Changed to 1 minute and after a few seconds the display/screen goes blank. The wake up gesture option is taking over the screen time out settings. This issue is ongoing and there are discussions about this issue since 2018 for the previous model galaxy watch 1. It is january 2020 and this still hasn't been fixed! This is ridiculous, SAMSUNG!

You will find the link for previous discussions below.

Totally agree!

2018 --> 2020 : no fix... looks like Samsung doesn't really care about its customers.

Shame

Re: Screen time out settings are not working

+1.

When using "Wake up gesture", the screen timeout waken up from gesture is hard-coded as 5 seconds, which does not repsect the screen timeout settings. There are plenty posts talking about this exact issue:

https://www.reddit.com/r/GalaxyGear/comments/9d8w0b/galaxy_watch_aod_time_doesnt_work/

IMO this is definitely a bug, instead of a feature.

Samsung should provide ways to

1. Make the timeout configurable when the watch is waken by "Wake up gesture".

2. Make it possible to only "Wake up" without "sleep" by gesture". When this is activated, it's expected to wake up when rotate the wrist, but do not turn off immediately when put wrist back down.
