In the quick settings tiles, what was formerly sleep mode is now the modes button, adding a step to turning on modes when it isn't scheduled. This is quite annoying if you want to re-enable sleep mode because you decided to sleep in, as you have to stare at the bright watch longer and interact with a menu instead of just pressing one button and being done. Please add back the sleep mode button in addition to the modes tile. Thank you.

Once you setup sleep on your phone it's two taps on the watch ... mode and select sleep. You only have to setup how you want sleep on the phone once and it allows you to really dive deep into all the presets for the routine. It is actually very good. Same with all the other modes, Relax, Driving, etc. All can be controlled with the watch and sync with your phone.
Irrelevant. 1) it went from one press to two presses. Under any circumstance, but especially given the context that this is sleep mode and the extra step means exposing the user to extra light, is a bad thing. 2) mode sync with phone does not respect manual activation of modes on the watch when a schedule is on. So if you have sleep mode end at 5:30 but you choose to sleep in, it actually will not re-enable sleep mode when you press sleep mode, it will immediately reset. This is an indefensible change.

When I switch to a Mode like Sleep Mode, either from my Galaxy phone or from the watch notification drawer, it doesn't take effect immediately. I have to go to the Modes page in the Settings app after changing the mode, and then it takes effect. It is the same when turning off the Mode. This has been a very annoying issue for me since I use sleep mode every night, and I don't want to go through all this hassle to turn on sleep mode when I'm sleepy.
This was changed to be this way in oneui5, I'm using the beta on my watch and it's different from oneui4 and I absolutely despise it. It ignores manual sleep mode too if you have mode sync on, terrible change.
For me this only happens when engaging Sleep Mode, but it happens almost every night. Even more annoyingly, Sleep Mode is turning ITSELF off long before my alarms so I keep waking up to notifs, which is even-more annoying...
