I upgraded from the Gear S2 to the Galaxy Watch and I truly love the watch. But there is an app on the S2 that I used all of the time, but it is not on the Galaxy Watch. It is the timer app. I used it when cooking and also the stop watch. I can't believe that such a useful little app was removed from the Galaxy Watch. Also, you advertise the watch as being connected to Samsung SmartThings. However, there is no app on the watch or in the Samsung Apps that allows me to control my SmartThings.
2nd March 2019. I concur - the is no Samsung timer app available under 'watch' on the Galaxy Store for the Galaxy Watch. Just a lot of 3rd party apps most that needs to be purchased.
It's almost laughable that a 2019 Smart watch doesn't come standard with a TIMER as default, and then you can't even download the app that was previously available in the store?!?!? Come on - someone please sort out this very frustrating problem!
Again - I had no trouble with any of the other common apps (Alarm, Stopwatch etc) which I installed with no fuss.
March 6, still no timer in galaxy store. Can we please have any update on the problem? I still have some time to return my watch to store, and I would like to know are there any chances to have this very basic feature available again?
Just received my S10 plus and now that I've moved my gear sport over I no longer have access to the timer app. The 3rd party options are garbage! Why is there no Timer app??? It's something I use everyday. This is infuriating!
I'm in the same boat, just upgraded to the S10 now I can't find the timer for my S3 Frontier, what an absolute joke, I use that app multiple times a day, I still can't believe it's not installed by default
Me as well. I've been trying for days to get the Timer app on my galaxy watch since I upgraded to the S10. I use it everyday and it's annoying I can't use it anymore. Samsung please fix it.
