I believe we had a simliar problem months ago after a update then and it took several days for Samsung to find a issue. The issue is not inclusive to any carrier or watch model or phone type. I have 46mm, S9 on Verizon.
Mine is working now as well . I tested remote connection is working over both wifi and LTE TMobile. I didn't reinstall anything. Definitely pointing to a backend server problem
